Clay Squared to Infinity is a fully functional ceramic studio, a handmade tile and polymer clay showroom, and a gallery dedicated to advancing the public's knowledge of the ceramic arts. We showcase and sell handmade tiles for installation in kitchens, fireplaces and bathrooms and as art tile. We offer the largest selection of historic reproduction tile lines in Minnesota.
We’re located under the roof of the Keg House Arts Building in Historic Northeast Minneapolis' Arts District. The majority of the handmade tile sold through Clay Squared's showroom are made on site.
Clay Squared artist employees are on hand to assist you with envisioning your idea all the way through to fully realized projects for kitchen backsplashes, bathrooms and fireplace surrounds. Also home accessories like ceramic switch plates, outlet covers and hand-pressed house numbers, are in stock Our showroom features tile by 15 local and national handmade tile artisan from the Handmade Tile Association (click here to see the list of artists we showcase) We also offer classes at Clay Squared to Infinity in Polymer Clay creations and Mosaic techniques.
Year Round Shows
The Infinity Gallery, is dedicated primarily to showcasing ceramic arts. Rotating and seasonal shows highlight beautiful ceramic works of art throughout the year.
History
What began as a cottage industry in the home of owners Josh Blanc and Layl McDill, Clay Squared to Infinity soon outgrew its small third floor studio. We moved to Central Avenue, in what was once a neighborhood bar in Northeast Minneapolis. After four successful years on Central Avenue, it was time again to increase square footage and gain a stronger foothold in the newly formed Northeast Arts District. So, on January 1, 2004, Clay Squared moved into The Keg House, once part of the Grain Belt Brewery complex, and now home to several arts-related businesses. It is in the Keg House that the talented artists of Clay Squared are able to further explore the ceramic arts and create beautiful works.
